The President and Vice President of the volleyball club founded the organization with a vision to create something different from traditional sports clubs. Motivated by their shared passion for the game, they wanted to build a space where young athletes could truly grow—not just in their volleyball skills, but also in confidence, teamwork, and love for the sport.
They prioritized development, encouragement, and a strong sense of community. Their leadership and commitment is for youth to discover their potential and fall in love with volleyball in a supportive, uplifting environment. Through their dedication, the club has become a place where passion meets purpose, and every player feels welcomed.

JASON CAMALIG
PRESIDENT
Introducing our President, a passionate individual who is dedicated to helping youth develop their skills in Volleyball. With a love for the sport that grew from watching his own kids play along with playing Volleyball in High School, he teamed up with his son, the Vice President, to open up this club. He is excited to see the Coaches and the club grow and thrive under their guidance.​
With years of Managerial and Customer Service experience, he can assist in creating a successful club that caters not only to the athletes but also to the parents who support their kids for the love of the game Together, we can build a community that fosters growth and development for everyone involved.

COACH MATAEO CAMALIG
VICE PRESIDENT/HEAD COACH
U18 GIRLS & U16 GIRLS
Introducing our Vice President, as well as the U18 & U16 Head Coach. Coach Mataeo is a dynamic indoor Volleyball Coach with a rich history of success, both as a player and a mentor. With multiple city championship banners and MVP titles earned during his athletic career, Coach Mataeo brings a wealth of experience and a winning mindset to every practice and match. With his extreme passion for Volleyball, he opened up his own club to help athletes excel in the sport they love.
Known for his engaging coaching style, Coach Mataeo emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, helping athletes not only improve his game but also build lasting friendships. Outside of volleyball, Coach Mataeo enjoys playing billiards for fun and immersing themselves in video games, fostering a well-rounded approach to both competition and recreation. With a passion for the sport and a commitment to his players, Coach Mataeo is dedicated to creating an environment where athletes can thrive both on and off the court.

COACH NEVYN D'SOUZA
HEAD COACH
Coach Nevyn is the Head Coach for the U17 and U15 girls’ volleyball teams. With over seven years of experience in the sport, he has had the privilege of playing at high levels, including a setter, while also gaining experience in all positions on the court.
He is a proud banner winner with his high school team, and currently continues to compete in an adult league. In addition to his current role, he serves as an Assistant Coach for the senior boys’ volleyball team at Bishop McNally High School.
Looking ahead, he is eager to extend his coaching experience to the boys’ teams within our club in the next couple of years.

COACH MAKYLIE CAMALIG
ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Makylie began playing volleyball at the age of 12, discovering a deep passion for the sport during her junior high and high school years. Her dedication led her to compete at both school and club levels, where she developed not only skills but a strong love for the game..
Coach Makylie's love for volleyball originally started while watching her older brother play, and that early inspiration grew into a lifelong passion for the sport. With two years of club volleyball experience, she has gained valuable insight into teamwork, discipline, and personal growth through sport. Coach Makylie is committed to sharing that passion by helping young athletes discover the joy of volleyball. She looks forward to continuing to inspire athletes through the game she loves while building a positive, competitive, and growth-focused environment.

Coach Makylie is going to school to be a photographer as well and is excited to venture into the journey of starting her own photography business where she can combine her creative vision and love for capturing meaningful moments for her clients.

COACH JESS FURLAN
U17 GIRLS HEAD COACH
With a lifelong dedication to various competitive sports, Coach Jess brings a unique, dynamic, and well-rounded coaching style to the volleyball court. A former captain of both her high school and university feeder club team, Jess was awarded several MVP accolades throughout her youth and applied her natural leadership skills later in life to other coaching positions as a certified ski and snowboard instructor as well as a specialized axe throwing coach in the GTA.
As a certified coach across multiple disciplines, Jess is known for creating an environment that balances safety, growth, and performance for athletes of all ages. Whether working with beginners or advanced athletes, Jess is committed to building strong foundations, pushing potential, and fostering a love for the game.

When not coaching, you’ll find Jess tattooing at her day job or caring for her beloved family: her husband Peter and their young children Ofelia and Eduard.

COACH ANYIAH ZSIDEG
U17 GIRLS ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Anyiah grew up in a small town playing volleyball during middle school, and high school. She started coaching volleyball when she was in grade10, helping her middle school program.
She continued coaching and playing until they had went into a world wide lockdown because of Covid. When they returned playing, coaching became difficult as they were constantly going into quarantine during the season, not only did this season disappoint her as a player, it had disappointed one of her other teammates as it was our last year to play. After graduation, she had taken a gap year and decided to continue coaching the middle school program.
A year later, she had moved to Airdrie and went to college. She is currently a fitness trainer. Her long term goal is to be a trainer for Volleyball athletes and help them excel more into their fitness goals to reach their potential. She is super excited to be a part of a volleyball club to see young athletes grow in the sport they love and help them reach their goal. Her favorite thing is to be around family and friends, and to be on the volleyball court.

COACH SKYE KEIBEL
U16 GIRLS HEAD COACH
Coach Skye discovered volleyball in middle school and continued developing her passion for the sport through high school, playing for both her school teams and club teams. She spent most of her career as an outside hitter, but especially appreciates the defensive side of the sport.
Coach Skye views volleyball as a holistic learning experience, where players develop their skills on the court while actively working on their confidence, teamwork, communication, and other skills that transcend sport. She believes that volleyball is about developing well-rounded, kind individuals who will succeed within and outside of the sport.
Skye is currently finishing her education degree and hopes to bring her love for teaching to Bounce. Above all, she wants to instill self-confidence in her athletes, fostering an environment where they are empowered to take risks and grow from challenges. She is excited to share her passion and help each player discover a lasting love for the game.

COACH HANAN IMAMWERDI
U16 GIRLS ASSISTANT COACH
Assistant coach Hanan fell in love with volleyball at 12 years old, drawn to the energy of the game and the opportunity to support and uplift her teammates. Her passion for volleyball grew throughout school and club play, where she focused on teamwork, positivity, and personal growth.

Off the court, Hanan works at The Keg as a lead host, where she brings the same caring attitude and strong work ethic. She’s currently taking a gap year to explore her path and find where she truly belongs and is utilizing this time to coach and share her love for volleyball. Hanan is passionate about supporting young athletes and inspiring them to discover their own love, joy, confidence, and connection through the sport. Being a part of Bounce truly allowed her to thrive, and she is eager to apply her experience to inspire and support the success of others.

Hanan’s love for volleyball began when she attended her first nationals to support her brother, sparking a deep passion for the sport. With 6 years of school experience and 4 years of club experience, she has discovered her true self through the game. She is excited to continue pursuing her passion by standing by Skye’s side as an assistant coach to help support athletes, helping them feel confident and grow every step of the way.

COACH ETHAN MYSON
U15 GIRLS HEAD COACH
Coach Ethan began playing volleyball at the age of 12 with his middle school team and found the deep passion for the game and determination to start playing club volleyball at 14 years old when playing pickup games with some friends. Despite Covid canceling his U15 season, he still gathered with other players during lunch at school to further develop his skills and understanding of the game and signed up for camps once restrictions were lifted. Leading himself to play his first club season at the age of 15 and becoming the captain of his U16 team. At the age of 16, he first began coaching by head coaching a middle school boys volleyball team. The experience led him to find a deep passion for coaching, leading, and helping young athletes to develop skills and understandings of the game to their fullest potentials.

Ethan's experience playing both high school and club volleyball only strengthened his love for the game. With a passion for leading, he wants to give back to the younger generations, just how his coaches have done for him. He is dedicated to making an environment that puts young athletes development and interest of the game first, while they either first find or continuing to find their enjoyment and love for the game. Ensuring athletes can grow as volleyball players and individuals on and off the court and have fun while doing so.

Ethan is currently enrolled in Post Secondary Education pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. And when not at school, you can find him either playing or watching sports, only deepening his passion for sports daily. Looking ahead, he is extremely excited to meet the next generation of volleyball players and to work with them to help them develop in their volleyball journey.

COACH HARLEY WARTHE
U15 GIRLS ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Harley is excited to be stepping into the role of Assistant Volleyball Coach here at Bounce! She grew up in Airdrie and played volleyball for many years through both school and club programs, mainly as a libero—a defensive specialist focused on serve receive and back-row play.
The position has taught her the importance of hustle, communication, and consistency, which she carry’s both on and off the court. She’s had the chance to coach briefly in the past, and is looking forward to be bringing that experience—and her love for the game—into this new role. She is passionate about helping players grow both on and off the court, and thrilled to be part of the journey this season!"

COACH ALEX MENDOZA
ASSISTANT COACH U18 GIRLS

Coach Alex joins Bounce VC as the Assistant Coach, bringing 7 years of experience both on the court and in coaching. A former volleyball player, he has a deep understanding of the game and a passion for developing players’ skills.
In his role, Alex focuses on specific areas, such as skill development, defense strategies, or conditioning, helping athletes enhance their performance and teamwork. He believes in fostering a supportive environment where players can thrive both individually and collectively.
