Why does Bounce Volleyball Club have a No Refund policy for its teams and programs?

Bounce Volleyball Club operates on a very tight budget with little to no financial margin. We intentionally budget team and program fees as closely as possible in order to keep player costs affordable. Bounce Volleyball Club is a not-for-profit organization and funds used to operate our programs come primarily from athlete registration fees.

For each team or training program, the Club carefully calculates all costs, including (but not limited to):

​

• Tournament entry fees (3 Premiers and 1 Provincials)

• Jerseys & Athlete Packages

• Gym rentals

• President & Coaches stipend for the season including Coaches attendance for Volleyball Alberta Premiers, Provincials and Nationals

• Administrative costs

• TeamSnap Platform

• Insurance - Commercial General Liability (CGL) & Directors & Officers Liability (D&O)
   

Once total costs are determined, they are divided equally among the number of players registered or expected to register for that team or program.

When a player commits to a team or program, it is expected that the player will complete the full season or session. Refunds cannot be issued if a player withdraws, as this would place an unfair financial burden on the remaining players. In most cases, fees collected have already been committed or spent on the costs outlined above.

Nationals Costs:

Costs associated with Nationals are shared equally among all team players. If a player is unable to attend Nationals, shared team costs will not be refunded. Extenuating circumstances may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 

 

Injuries Prior to Program Start:

If a player is injured before the start of a club season or program and wishes to withdraw, a refund may be considered only if the player’s spot can be filled by another suitable athlete. Each situation will be evaluated individually.
